Easter Egg Hunt & Food Drive Results

Our first Easter Egg Hunt & Food Drive was eggcellent!! I want to give a huge shout out to Chad and Kristine Jenkins of Georgia Self Storage for partnering with us for this great event!! You two are truly incredible and we couldn’t do this event without you.  We would also like to thank all of the local businesses who either donated gift certificates or money to our raffle and event. The generosity of everyone in our community always amazes us and we are truly grateful to bring everyone together to help others.

Grunts Move Junk Donates $2008 to National Breast Cancer Foundation

Back in October, Grunts Move Junk announced that we will be donating 10% of our junk removal proceeds from the month of October, to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. With that being said, we were able to donate $2,008 towards the fight against cancer! Operation Homefront is a nonprofit organization that focuses on supporting military families and helps them overcome the many challenges of military life. Their mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families, so that they can thrive in the communities that they have worked hard to protect. Over the past fifteen years, they have provided programs that offer relief, resiliency and recurring family support. 92% of expenditures go directly toward delivering services and programs to military families that need it the most. Nonprofit organizations such as Operation Homefront are so important to our military communities. 1)Homes for our Troops

Mission: Help build specifically equipped homes for injured service members.

Homes for Our Troops is a nonprofit organization that builds specially adapted, mortgage-free homes nationwide for the most severely injured Veterans post 9/11. The specifically designed homes help restore some of the independence for the injured veterans and allow them to focus on their recovery, family and rebuilding their lives.


2)Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust

Mission: Psychological and physical rehabilitation programs for wounded and ill Veterans.

The Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust supports psychological and physical rehabilitation programs that provide direct service to wounded, injured or ill veterans. In an effort to make a positive difference in the lives of veterans and their families, the trust supports;

-Assistance for veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, substance abuse problems, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and many more.

-Programs on quality healthcare for veterans

-Programs enhancing research and mobility for veterans with spinal cord injuries, amputations and more.


3)Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund

Mission: To provide financial assistance and lifetime support to wounded service members and their families.

The Semper Fi Fund provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to post-9/11 wounded, ill and injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as their families. The fund ensures that they have the resources they need during their recovery and transition back to their communities.


4)Operation Homefront

Mission: Recovery and financial assistance for wounded service members.

Operation Homefront helps military families overcome many of the challenges in military life by connecting the American donor community to military families through special programs. The programs address specific short-term and critical assistance, long-term stability and recurring support needs. The outcome is stronger and more secure military families. Some of their programs include:

Recurring Family Support

-Homefront celebrations to recognize military spouses

-Hearts of valor caregiver support program

-Baby showers to help new military moms

-Backpacks filled with school supplies for military kids

5)Wounded Warrior Project

Mission: To assist service members injured after 9/11

The Wounded Warrior Project serves veterans and service members who received a physical or mental injury, wound or illness from their military service on or after September 11, 2001. With their mission to honor and empower Wounded Warriors, the Wounded Warrior Project helps to encourage warriors as they adjust to their new normal.
