Are you prepared for the solar eclipse?

For the first time since 1979, the United States will get to witness a total solar eclipse on August 21st. What happens during a total solar eclipse? The moon will pass over the sun and eventually block it’s light which will bring complete darkness to the sky for 2-3 minutes. Those who live in Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina will all be in the direct path to see the total solar eclipse. Vermont unfortunately, is not in the direct path of the total solar eclipse but we will still be able to witness a partial solar eclipse starting at 1:22pm and ending at 3:53pm in Burlington.
